The general-purpose template for any page that isn't the homepage, a case study or a blog post.

When to use it

  • For any page that isn't the homepage, a case study or a blog post.
  • For index pages. Work is a standard page with a card group; Blog is a standard page with a collection.

When not to use it

  • For a project write-up. Use a case study, which has a work card and pagination.
  • For a dated post. Use a blog post.

Fields

Field Max characters Notes
Title 60 Required. The browser tab and anywhere the page is linked. We recommend one or two words.
Heading 80 Required. The page's h1. Italic marks the highlighted words. On an index page the page name is enough; we recommend under 60 characters either way.
Description 320 Optional. Shown under the heading and as the search result summary. Leave it empty rather than repeat the heading. We recommend under 160 characters.
Portrait 1 image Optional. Sits beside the heading, cropped to 3:4, and drops below the text when space runs out. Alt text comes from the asset, so write it there.
